Not like other sins – Why we are opposed to Same sex marriage

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. As I am sure you are all aware, there is to be an Australia wide postal vote about Same-Sex-Marriage. You will, undoubtedly, have been already exposed to proponents of both sides of the argument, each making their case as to why their opinion should prevail and be enshrined in law. Read more...

The Conquering Christ – 10/9/2017 – PM


Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief.  When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see the labour of His soul, and be satisfied.  By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.  Isaiah 53:10-12 NKJV.

The Man in My Mirror -10/9/2017 – AM

What then?  Are we better than they?  Not at all.  For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God.
They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one.”
“Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips, whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”  Romans 3:9-18 NKJV

The Silent Saviour - 3/9/2017 - PM

"He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth;  He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.  He was taken from prison and judgement, and who will declare His generation?  For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.  And they made His grave with the wicked - but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth." Isaiah 53:7-9 NKJV.

Objections Answered - 3/0/2017 - AM

This morning's sermon is taken from Romans 3:1-10.

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?  
Much in every way!  Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.  
For what if some did not believe?  Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.  As it is written: "That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged."
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say?  Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)
Certainly not!  For then how will God judge the world? For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?  And why not say," "Let us do evil that good may come"?- as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say.  Their condemnation is just.
